About the Lunch and Learn: Strategies for Creating More Inclusive Meetings

You’re invited to join SOCHE for another virtual lunch and learn, entitled “Strategies for Creating More Inclusive Meetings,” on Wednesday, Feb. 23, beginning at 12 p.m. The session will be presented by Dr. Julio Quintero, Associate Director for Inclusive Excellence Education and Initiatives at University of Dayton.

Meetings are perhaps the most common structure that shapes the life of every member of an institution. Hearing everyone’s views and concerns is a key requirement to creating an inclusive climate in an organization. However, making a meeting inclusive goes beyond giving everyone a chance to talk. The purpose of the meeting should be the starting point.

Join us for a workshop designed to explore meetings and their purpose, and learn concrete strategies for ensuring everyone at the table is included. If you plan or host meetings (which is practically everyone!), you need to participate in this session, so click here to register now!

More Professional Development Opportunities

Councils & Committees

SOCHE is dedicated to advancing higher education through active collaboration, resource and knowledge building, and effective professional development programs. To accomplish this, SOCHE administers 16 active Councils and Committees. The purpose of a SOCHE Council or Committee is to provide an opportunity for representatives from higher education to be a resource for one another, share information and best practices, identify common challenges, and, ultimately, broaden awareness of the resources, services, and activities in higher education. SOCHE is also dependent upon the Councils and Committees for substantial input on annual professional development programs.
