The Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) will host an anti-hazing lunch-and-learn panel discussion on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 12-1 p.m. Entitled “Recognizing and Preventing Hazing on Campus,” this discussion will feature experts in the field, who will talk about their initiatives and research to decrease hazing on campuses around the country. Faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to join us to learn more about their role in recognizing hazing and addressing hazing in their classrooms and settings around campus, as well as promoting anti-hazing initiatives in the campus community.
The panel, which will be moderated by Dr. Cassie Barlow, president of SOCHE, will feature:
- Jill Maurer – Assistant Director, Gordie Center, University of Virginia
- Will Cangialosi – Assistant Director of Chapter Services for Sorority & Fraternity Life, Ohio State University
- Logan Davis – Outreach & Engagement Manager, Higher Education Center for Alcohol Misuse Prevention & Recovery
- Kathleen Wiant – Antihazing Advocate, Collin Wiant Foundation
